It depends on what the RMS rating is and watt the peak power rating is, what brand are they?how many Ohms are they? you need to know things like this before you ask a question like that, every 15" subwoofer that is a different brand has a different power rating,if you can know what brand it is then send me an e-mail and I will help you out.But without the brand nobody can help you.snowmogoer@yahoo.com

It depends on what series Punch subwoofers they are. The P1 will not handle much power (150-300 watts) - the P2 will handle slightly more (250-400 watts). If they are P3 subwoofers, you should be able to get some serious juice (500-750 watts) into them. Depending on the impedence of the subwoofers, you may want to get an amplifier that is 2 ohm mono stable. Check out some options here:

Without know what they can handle, you'd be safe with 400W going to each sub. They may be able to handle more, but that's a relatively safe baseline.

Some speakers operate on a higher power requirement than others I think it is expressed in watts RMS. (average power) Max power is for spikes, big hits on the low end of the frequency, or sharp highs, like cymbals crashing.

RMS is the number you want to match up with the amp. It also may depend on the type of radio you have.

Go to a repuitable stereo shop, take the speakers in, and have them match it up for you.

The first watt is the most important. Quality before quantity.

I have continuously shown a 24 watts (total) stereo sounds better than any '2000 watt' system.

But, I'm sure you will still buy some 800 watt amp from Best Buy because some pimple faced kid played it for you in a controlled enviroment and convince you it's musical.

I'd suggest a minimum of two hundred watts, and no more than a thousand. More than that and you'll just ruin them. If you want more power I'd suggest buying a couple more speakers for your system.

You need to know the RMS rating of your speakers, the size is irrelevant. Find the RMS wattage (always ignore peak wattage) and find amps to match. To be honest you're better off running one sub off a monobock class D amp than running 2.

Depens what he MAX watts they can handle look on the back of speakers for ratings

Your system won't mean squat without a well designed box to put your subs in. Some manufacturers have recommendations as to dimensions of various types of boxes. It is best to find someone who builds boxes if you go with something other than a sealed box.

YES, you should always match up RMS (Root Mean Square) watts of Subs and amp per channel.

You should use a capacitor as well.

Recommend for every 500 watts MAX you use a .5 Farad cap

Example: 1000 watts MAX - 1 Farad cap

Try http://www.soundomain.com/shop you can find some really good deals, and this site is manufacturer certified. VERY IMPORTANT WHEN SHOPPING ON-LINE!!!

You will also need what's called a "line level converter" if your stock stereo doesn't have RCA outputs or your amp doesn't have high-level inputs.

If you like I can send you some plans for reference if you'd like. My plans are for a 4-th order band pass bass box that holds two 12's. Just e-mail me sparky3489@yahoo.com

I chose Blaupunkt TSw1200 subs with a Sony Xplōd XM2200GTX and it moves my coffee table around when I'm in the driveway.

Amp is:

400 W X 2 (at 4 Ω)

600 W X 2 (at 2 Ω)

1200 W X 1 (at 4 Ω)

200 W X 2 (at 4 Ω) RMS

250 W X 2 (at 2 Ω) RMS
