Is there a quick fix for my car speakers?

The speakers in my jeep have been busted since my brothers handed it over to me last summer.. I'm a 16 year old girl, so stereotypically, I know nothing about cars or speaker systems and I'm wondering if a quick description is enough for someone to know what the problem is.

So back in 2012-2013, my brother had subwoofers in the jeep and he took them out when he the car was handed on to me, but the speakers have been problematic since then. I don't know if it relates to the subs, but occasionally I'll have to open up the glove compartment and reach back and pull on some wires that are connected to my speakers because my speakers start going in and out. Normally, I would just tug at it a certain way and eventually the speakers would work just fine after that. My oldest brother gave me the idea to do this, not sure if it's the smartest idea, but it works. For some reason, during the winter I had very few problems with my speakers. I would rarely have problems getting them to play, but once it started warming up, I'm back to having the same problem. It's never been as bad as it is now. I can tug on the wires and it'll work for 2 seconds at most.. Occasionally I'll hit a bump in the road and they'll start working again. But for the most part, my speakers are dead.

I'm not sure if I just played my speakers too loud, if my brother's subs did something, or it's just time to get some new speakers.. Anyone recognize this problem? Quick fix or time to install new speakers??

Find someone who knows wiring and get them to help you. What you've got is a lousy wiring job that your brothers did when they put those subs in and then ripped them out. Pulling on the wires was making the connections temporarily good but over time pulling them probably broke a connection. Get them fixed and you probably won't need new speakers.

Yes replace them with a good aftermarket set,not worth the headake. 70 dollars will buy you a good set of 6/9s Pioneer/Sony/Rockford Fosgate and many others, just stick with name brand equipment.
