Good ported box for my Kicker Comp 12?

Question

I've fairly recently gotten myself into car audio and find myself always trying to improve upon my system. I know it isn't much, but as far as deep bass goes I have a Kicker Comp 12 in a decently sized sealed box bridged on a 275 watt (rms) kenwood 2 channel amp. The box it's currently in has a few holes in it (I literally purchased it for $13, it was the display model at BestBuy) that I tried to caulk but somehow still allows for a slight whistle at loud volumes. I realized that for the type of music I listen to, a boomier, louder, ported/vented box would meet my needs. I am now looking to purchase one for the Kicker Comp 12, I'm looking at one on amazon from atrend. It's 1.7 cubic ft of airspace and it's apparently tuned at 33hz. Do you think this would be a good investment? I ask because I know ported boxes are sort of a crapshoot. My only thing is I can't go above $60. I'm only 17.

i looked that box up on amazon . it is too small for your subwoofer. the 1.7 cubic foot is the gross airspace. after you subtract the airspace that the port fills, the net airspace is only 1.25 cubic foot. kicker recommends a minimum of 1.75 net.

2 12' comps are 300rms combined.I would match the RMS of the subs to the RMS amp at the right impedance, just makes it easier. So a monoblock amp that is rated 300x1@ the correct final load.
