My mom works at best buy so I get a really good discount on their items. I am a really big fan of Alpine and RF. I asked an employee about the alpine speakers and he said that the alpine's wouldn't fit in a 97' contour. I don't really understand why, im guessing he wants me to buy something else. But the speakers can only be from bestbuy. And i only need one set, for the front doors. Here is the link to the alpine door speakers from best buy. Only reply if you are positive that you know they will fit, or if you know anything about the 97' contour model. thanks alot if you can help me.

Your car, for the front doors, take a 6x8 speaker. You can get a speaker adapter that will take it from 6x8 to whatever size you want. Really, the guy at best buy was being honest, but don't have them put the speakers in for you b/c they rarely do a good job. I'm not dissing your moms job, I'm just going off of past experience, just so you know. Also, doing it yourself will help you learn more. :) Good luck!

I would try a pair of pioneer 6x8 ,if they have them.

Model: KAPPA682.9CF

I found these at B BUY

Best buy installation, is just another stereo shop, there not really apart of the store. Once I figured that out, they have been great.

These are the best sounding speakers >>>Just trust me

Go to Crutchfields website (below) and they have a chart to tell you which speakers fit into which cars and where they fit. Once you find out, if they do fit, go back and bet the guy money. Make him lose and smile while walking away with $20 or so, lol. If they don't fit, you can find which model Alpine speaker does fit and just check BB to see if they have them. If so, buy them there and save some money.
