As long as you don't transmit, the radio is legal. The moment you key up that microphone, however, you better have that license! There is no cutoff as far as RF output goes - you have to have a license to transmit, whether your rig puts out a kilowatt or a thousandth of a watt. The penalties in Canada for unlicensed operation are as severe as they are here in the USA - which can be a fine as high as ten thousand dollars and up to two years in prison!

Hey - licensing classes are available all over Canada, they're very inexpensive and your beginner's level license is not all that hard to earn. Why have the dang radio if y'ain't gonna talk to folks, eh?

I Don't know If it is a typo but I never heard of a ham radio?

is It Like a police Scanner or Something ?



But If it is a regular radio For music Then No You Dont need a Licence People are Going around with TWO 2000 watt Amps In There truck along with 4 subs Kicking over 4000 Watts out enough To Make Your Ears bleed

If I see the front i think of this is somebody from right here (Michigan) with a California plate in front for adornment (particularly elementary for some reason) because of the fact that we don't have front plates. whether that's a actual California motor vehicle i think of wow what an prolonged rigidity
