> Power Handling : 200 Watts RMS / 600 Watts MAX Power (Per Subwoofer)
> Power Handling : 400 Watts RMS / 1200 Watts MAX Power (Combined)
> Impedence: 2ohms
> Frequency Response(+- 3db): 37-150 hz
> Dimensions : 14"(H) x 29-1/2"(W) x 13-1/2"(BD) x 11"(TD)
> Approximate Weight : 66.4 LBS

The amp I have now is weak. I don't want to push them to 1200 MAX, I am looking for something between 600 and 1000 watt. Also I want to keep the price relatively low.

right this is the undertaking: in case you have 2 4-ohm single voice coil subs, and that they are under pressure out at the same time in parallel, then the excellent impedance is two ohms. this is effective for many mono amps, even with the undeniable fact that it does not artwork nicely for a 2-channel amplifier in bridged mode. maximum bridged amplifiers are constrained to a minimum of four ohms. Connecting a bridged amp to a 2-ohm load might reason it to overheat, close down, or blow fuses. What you're able to do is re-cord the subs in sequence interior the container. this could furnish the amplifier with an 8-ohm load. that's nonetheless no longer suitable, and it won't enable the amp come on the breaking point of its optimal output, even with the undeniable fact that it is going to enable the amp to run the two subs wisely for the period of the single terminal on the container. the suitable amp to run the two certainly one of those subwoofers could probable be a mono amp with around 800 watts of output at 2 ohms.

power accoustics make a really nice amp for a great price and i would reccomend at least a 1200 watt amp b/c it is able to be powered down to 1/2, 3/4 or whatever power, and your not stressing it out to its brink power so it will not fry as quick i have been running 1200 watt power accoustic for 2 years now, to two 12" rockford p1's wich are the same power handling as your MTX'S
