how can i hook up my amp/sub?

i need to buy wiring for my subwoofer/amp. I have a lanzar 420 600W amplifier. its a 4channel bridgeable amp. here is the link to the product ( http://www.autotoys.com/x/product.php?productid=2393 ). I want to hook this up to my 600W 10" JL audio subwoofer. The amplifier is mounted on top of the subwoofer and there are no wires. I need to know what kind of wires i need to hook the amp to the subwoofer and then the amp to my stereo. I have a 2009 Honda Civic with a stock stereo. I believe i need a hi/lo converter. I know nothing about any of this and need as much help as possible. i dont know what bridgeable means and i don't know how to bridge the amplifier obviously.. A 4-channel amp isn't the best choice for powering subwoofer(s). A monoblock is best, followed by a 2-channel. If you understand the basics, have a little mechanical (and electrical) aptitude, you can usually do the installation. But it will help to have someone who is knowledgeable and has done it before to assist you.



For a stock receiver, you need a line output converter similar to this one:

A cheap Scosche from WalMart will work, but the sound quality will suffer.

You need an amp kit. An 8-gauge is probably sufficient for that amp. Most include an RCA cable, but some don't. You may need to purchase an additional RCA for a 4-channel if you want fading capability.

Ok all you need is a 600 watt amp wiring kit.

In the kit is everything you need.



Take the fuse out of the 12V (Red) constant power that you have to run from the battery back to your Amp. Then run this wire like I said from the batt through the fire wall all the way back to the trunk.



Then get your ground wire out (Black) and pull your carpet back in the trunk and find a bolt, remove it and mount your ground wire there. Make Sure under the bolt is not painted. a lot of people use the strut mount for this wire.



then take out your REM (blue) wire and hook it up to your head unit's wirelabelledd remote antenna. this wire hooks up to your rem port on the back of your amp. run it back to your amp.

If your stereo does not have a remote antenna wire hook it in to your red wire. that is your switched power for your head unit. Make sure if you hook it up to this red wire that your amp does actually switch on and off with your head unit.



While You have your head unit out hook up your RCA'S and run them back to your amp and plug them in.



Your speaker wire should be in the kit as well but not always. Positive to positive, from amp to sub. easy right.



OK Bridging looks like this + {- - - - L - - - -} - + {- - - - R - - -} -





You take the Positive wire from the sub you want to bridge run it to The positive on the left terminal and run the negative to the negative on the right terminal.



Watch out when bridging you have to pay attention to ohms.
