The Kenwood in dash stereo has am/fm radio, and cassette and a remote 6 disc music cd changer in the trunk that is controlled at the dash. that's a 3 in 1 system and a darn good one ecept for the faulty cassette player which has one of my prized tapes jammed in that will not eject out of it!

If you were like me and liked both CD music and playing old casseette music from 20 years ago in the same in dash stereo and had a problem with the cassette player malfunctioning would you

A. chunk the one in the dash and get an HD radio with cd player but no cassette?
B. look for the same exact unit as above from Kraig's list or Ebay or Amazon?
C. upgrade to a newer HD radio with CD but without Cassette?

Why don't they make one that does all the above, I hate having to compromise.

What do you think?

By the way I contacted Kenwood and they do not have this model anymore and
I also contacted Best Buy, they know I love the cassette but they say most all of the new stuff has no cassette interface but rather mp3 and hd radio and sirus satellite radio.

It seems I may have to convert all my audio cassettes to disc, but what am I gonna do with the cassette that is permanently stuck in the cassette slot of my Kenwood? OMG! I had some great tunes on that tape.

That tape ain't stuck. If your chucking the tape player, then take it apart. its not gonna be real hard, just screwdrivers, maybe pliers, and some patience. Hope i helped ya.

a great form of extra modern automobiles have an Aux enter which you would be able to plug an iPod, or as a result, a cassette Walkman into. the two the Aux would be suitable interior the front of the deck (it's going to be a prevalent length headphone jack 3.5mm (?)) or you could would desire to purchase an Aux enter adapter to your particular vehicle. another innovations you have: it is possible to get a AM/FM/CD/Cassette head unit swapped in from the dealership, yet this option would be high priced. you could desire to continually get an o.e.m unit with a cassette participant equipped in. confident, they nonetheless manufacture them. examine Crutchfield while you're thinking of going that course. FM Transmitter Rip his casette tapes to a working laptop or laptop and burn to CD. (Very time ingesting, will require extra laptop hardware and utility...)
