OK, in my old car which is an 86 acura legend I had my new stereo a sony drive- s model CDX-GT200 in stalled. but now I have a new car, a 2000 ford focus which has its own stereo but a much older one, a kenwood KDC-215S. I really want to put the sony model in my focus, but how do I do it? what kind of kit should I get? I'd much rather do this myself than pay a hundred bucks to have someone do it for me. Any helpful info can really help thanks!

You will need a mounting kit and wiring harness. You can go to best buy/ circuit city and get these parts there. They will tell you what ones you need based on your car. Best buy has cheaper parts but circuit city's are nice and the wiring harness is easier to install. That is because they sell an extra harness so you don't have to crimp the wires together.

Other car audio shops will have the parts too.

You can go to www.metraonline.com and find out what parts you need for your car. Then you can find them online if you like. Good Luck!!!

ok well yes you will need a dash kit maybe but a wiring harness you do need you need a wiring kit for the focus but your better off going to the audio shop to buy the harness cuz its cheaper for both the harness and the dash kit it'll come around 20 dollars or so and if you rather get it installed then just take the sony out and take it to a audio shop they shoodnt charge you more than 30 to 40 dollars if so then put it in your self good luck
