i have 2 12" subs that r hardwired directly to my rear speakers right now. since i dont get much bump from that...
can i just run 2 rca cables from my deck to my subs w/o installing an amp and get some more power from my deck?

...if so would u give me some pointers?

No. Power output of RCA jacks would be in milliwatts. Actually, putting a low impedance load on them with the subs, as you describe, could burn out the preamp.

You can't run rca cable directly to subs. Unless you have a high output head unit, you are not going to get much out of the subs. You can try to run them "mono" which means one speaker. By doing this you are not dividing the power, you are running all the power through one wire. Then split the wire to go to both speakers. This is the best you can do without an amp.

You need an amp there is no way around it. Your subs required a massive draw of power to function properly and only an amp can provide the necessary power. Buy an amp and have it professionally installed before you burn your car up. The added draw is going to cause the wiring to overheat. My buddy almost caught his truck on fire by doing the same thing just cause he wanted to save money. If you don't know what you are doing have some that does do the work
