I have a 98 Honda Civic which is a 2-door. It's an EX. I have 2 Sony Xplod 6"x9" speakers in the back and 2 6" speakers in the front. They're Sony Xplod as well. I'll definitely accept suggestion on other brands and models, but I'm looking for 2 Sony Xplod subs and a Sony Xplod amp to power the whole system and just make my car boom. A civic is nothing to brag about, but it'll definitely much more fun to ride in with a real nice sound system. Any info on wires needed would be nice too. Thanks!

sony makes okay amps but their subs suck, dont waste your money on them

i would suggest a system but you made no mention of the quantity or size of the subs or price range

when it comes to car audio nine times out of ten you get what you pay for- and you need to look for CEA-compliant brands which means that the amps have been tested and produce or exceed the advertised RMS wattage with minimum distortion and the subs can handle their advertised RMS wattage also (distortion is the main cause of speaker damage over time)

here are the top CEA-compliant brands

Alpine (highly recommend)

Blaupunkt (don't like their subs)

Clarion

Eclipse

Infinity (highly recommend)

JBL

JL Audio (very good but over priced)

JVC

Kenwood (don't like their subs)

Kicker (the best in my opinion)

MTX (highly recommend)

Orion

Pioneer

Polk Audio (highly recommend)

PPI

Rockford Fosgate (highly recommend)

Sony (don't like their subs)

seem into HiFonics, I at the instant very own the Brutus BXI 1610D, I have no courtroom situations... Kole Audio additionally makes sturdy amps for the cost. seem for an amp that's 800 watt RMS x a million @ a million ohm, that being pronounced you may desire to twine them parallel right down to a million ohm, this could keep you funds, reason you could in basic terms twine a series of DVC drivers to a million, 4, or sixteen ohms... Why twine them series, so which you would be able to pay greater for an amp, that places out the perfect RMS at that ohm? in case you like any help be at liberty to email or I.M. me, i could be happy that might assist you!
