Pandora not working over my Kenwood head unit?

I have a new Kenwood DMR in my truck and it works to play music off of my iPhone via the USB port, and it is a Pandora capable head unit, but when I start Pandora on my phone the head unit says "Check Device" and my phone just plays Pandora out of its speakers. Is there a setting I need to change or something? I would like pandora in my truck. Any advice would be great. Thanks

What kind of cable are you using? I've come across third-party 30-pin iPhone cables that only worked for charging and did not work for data. This would cause it not to work.

When you plug in your phone do you get any message about it being an incompatible accessory? Can you play iPod music over the cable?

If it's not the cable then it could be the Pandora app. Try deleting it and downloading the most recent version from the App Store. To my knowledge there are no settings on the iPhone or in the Pandora app to enable use with a head unit such as yours.

Ok well that is a nice car nice headunit u should do justice and get decent subs and amp. since u got 200 dollar budget i sugest u move to online shoping its cheaper. since your only able to use 200 i sugest u go to amazon and search for preloaded enclosures. they arnt very good but it will be a starting point for your system. most enclude the subs enclosure and amp so thats probly your best bet. good luck
