Hi I am new to this. There are a lot of brands out there for car audio. I am an audiophile, I know sound. Because I am a sound engineer. But thing is I don't have the time for listening all the brands of car audio. Out of these: BOSTON ACOUSTICS, HARMAN/AKG, ALPINE, PIONEER, and POLK AUDIO. Which Brand rounds best overalll?????????? And also please post ur answer with the following: Best Brand, and complete System under 2,500 for a 2004 Pontiac GTO. Thanks. You don't have to find the system if u don't want to for the car. And If any of you people answering, may happen to be a sound engineer, please let me know in answer. And also everyone who posts give me reasons why the rand you chose out of these is best.

In my opinion the best brand sound is Kenwood but it is more expensive than the other audio brands but if you want a cheap car audio so it is better to use pioneer but the sound quality will be highly affected. If you buy Kenwood so it has a long life and a better sound quality and much durable.

for a sound quality woofer, I'd go with Clif Design audio, Diamond audio or DLS, even Cadance would have a batter sound quality then anything else. I do like Boston Acoustics, Polk audio, Alpine but there subwoofers are just horrible when you going into the competitions, DLS audio actually is a german brand, they have win many trophies for sound competitions, also the Rainbow audio for speakers, they don't suck either due too I have actually seen people with rainbow audio got trophies for sound quality not sound pressure. Clif Design audio is actaully one of my favorite sound system out there, I am talking about pure bass, with sound built in the woofer. with a higher power rating, alpine, polk, and Boston acoustics just got stay away. But if you want cheap sound quality system JBL audio, JVC arsenal, and Rockfrod is the one's I would go with, not a lot of bass but still have the bass and sound put together. So, would be sick as hell for those brands. I also heard Orion make good sound quality systems too, but not too sure on that one. Good luck of finding yourself a good quality systems.

If you want to have great sound quality, I recommend you to get either alphine, pioneer, kenwood or clarion. For a whole system if you are looking to bump really hard you can get 2 tens kickers, mtx, JL audio etc. with at least a 1000 watt amp in order to sound good. Right now I have 2 kicker comps with a 1100 watt amp it sounds really good but it you want everyone to hear it on the streets go with a bigger amp. I also recommend you with some tweeters to sound more clear.

out of those brands, go with a polk speaker setup and use and alpine head unit. my personal opinion however is run with memphis car audio, they are the best bang for the buck company out right now and deliver phenomenal sound quality.

not one of the flaws you in basic terms listed are all that "funds friendly" in case you desire to maintain it at the cheap, powerbass subwoofers are extremely a thank you to pass, in basic terms make sure there "powerbass" and not "powerbase" powerbass is a touch new to the scene organisation, and there actual quite wonderful, i had 2 15"s that hit in basic terms below a million.5 db below a series of 15" memphis subs that i had in the previous them, the two certainly one of them have been in equipped to spec ported packing containers working around an identical rms power. stay removed from the greater reasonable amp manufacturers, (boss, pyramid, legacy, lanzar, cuspid, mitzu, ect) the amp is the place you will spend somewhat better than you desire for good sound, the older orion hcca amps are EXELLENT for sound high quality, yet are a tad on the expensive area, i might hop on ebay and p.c.. up a hifonics, elemental designs, mmats amp for a great cost (make sure your rms wattage on your amp, and your sub are close to to an identical, on no account pay any interest to "max" scores, they mean not something)
