Question:
How do you select the AUX input on the Kenwood KDC-W6537U head unit?

I have just fitted a Kenwood KDC-W6537U head unit every thing is working grand except for the fact that I cannot use the 3.5mm aux input on its own. At the min I have to use an old iPhone plugged into the iPod connector which then allows the head unit to activate the aux input.

Anybody got any ideas on why this may be? From looking in the instruction manual there should be an option under source for the AUX separate from the iPod/USB source, but it's nowhere to be found.

Any help is appreciated.
Kind Regards
Colm

You need to enable AUX which is available through the settings menu. However that particular settings menu is only available while the system is on standby.

Your manual is here

See the top of page 28 for the solution.

could be on the back of the head unit, check the manuel and see if there's a pic. of the back in there.that shows you every thing that's on the back and what its for.good luck.
