(2) 4ohmSVC subs into amp - wiring question?

Please verify and double-check my wiring before I actually hook it up and turn it on: I have two 4ohm SVC subs that I'm wiring into a monoblock amp. On schematics I've found it shows to wire the sub#2 into sub#1 and then wire sub#1's connections into the amp's + and - speaker output terminals. My question is: my amp comes with two sets of + and - speaker outputs ( ++ - - ). Am I correct in assuming that I place the the red + speaker wire on the far left output and the black - wire on the far right output?

Amp: Kenwood eXcelon XR-1S mono digital amplifier
Wiring: 4 gauge wiring kit

Look on page 6 of the owner's manual. Find where is says "When two subwoofers are connected" and follow that schematic.

You have 2 options that will in the end work out to the same thing. The amp has two sets of speaker connections to simplify wiring two subs to it. You can run a set of wires to each sub using the two sets of connections as they are connected in the amp.



The other option is to like the schematic you've seen and run from the amp to the first sub, then the positive of that sub to the pos on sub 2. Then neg 1 to neg 2. Both will work exactly the same way. It just moves that parallel connection from one of the subs terminals to inside the amp.



If it were me, I would choose which way depending on the way your box is set up for connections. If you only have a spot to hook up one set of wires to the box use the sub connection. If there is a spot to hook up two sets of wires on the box I'd use the amp. If you are just running the wire through the port or through a drilled hole in the box I'd use the sub as well.
