I installed in honda accord. Placed rcvr near radio antenna in rear window (rcvr is about 6" from radio antenna). Ran into trunk under panels and behind center console below dash. Had to mount it higher than suggested by directions as console not condusive to proper placement. Symptom is noise like from an open mic thats a little bit hot (not feed back just hot). Reception can go lame in traffic close quarters or on overcast days. I do not have a cassette deck in car. Directions claimed that is best type install. I have that skyfi 2 deal...sure would be nice to have a plug and play option as in cigarette lighter deal like ipod.

Get the universal fm interceptor modulator. It splices into the antennae behind the radio. Use the supplied rca connectors. Tune to the frequency and your ready. Guaranteed no interference.

How is the satellite antenna placed? The wires must be routed in a way where they do not kink more than 90 degrees. It must be free from obstructions on all sides. Do you live in a large city where terrestrial repeaters might be scarce. The Antenna plugs are color coded. Make sure you match the plugs up to the colors on the back of your XM receiver. One plug is for the satellites and the other for terrestrial repeaters. The antenna must be able to "see" the satellite. If you have any more question you can contact me through my email on profile.

in case you get it, don't get one in each and every of those little plug and play radios for the automobile. purchase a sparkling radio for the automobile. actual, in case you making use of too some distance removed from the place you will oftentimes be listening to it, you will finally end up having to locate a sparkling radio station to track the plug and play unit to. some channels you would be able to could use do not are available in too properly. as quickly as I had it, i did not like it. I have been given rid of it final December. Oh and ignore approximately having it on your place. you would be spending hours attempting to get the antenna in a great place to get reception, kinda like the previous type television antenna's. They(Sirius) performed as a rule junk songs on the hip-hop/rap channels. i replace into incredibly lots caught with listening to channel a million or 9. those have been the two channels that performed any good track. the communicate channels are actually not commercial loose. in basic terms the track channels are. the cost of the subscription is approximately 12.ninety 5 a month. i comprehend Sirius use to have bargains if to procure a a million 365 days subscript. or extra. in case you have the money, that must be a extra effective deal. additionally, most of the track channels have cussing allowed on them. while you're in a automobile with youthful ones or somebody you do not prefer to be project to that language then you definately will could locate some secure channels that don't enable undesirable words, there are some. i exploit my iPod in my automobile and alter between that and the radio(terrestrial) desire that facilitates. good good fortune with your determination!

Hello.... On some of these models, depending on which one you have, go to the menu and adjust the audio level. It sounds like the audio level is turned down and is sending a weak signal out. Also double check the frequency that you are sending out to, that there are not any radio stations on that channel that are interrfering. Hope this helped! Good Luck and Live Loud!
