so i have a DEH-p2900mp that i got for free, and i wanted to install it in my Scion Xa. after getting the dash out and getting the stock stereo out of the way i noticed that the connectors that feed from the car to the deck aren't the same, and im not sure what type of adapter i need to get the audio hooked up and pumpin. ive done google searches and i have been inconclusive, if anyone could point me in the right direction that would be awesome!

Yeah, you need a wiring harness. Connect the wires from the harness to the wires of the head unit. Put the unit into the dash and you're good to go.

You can get the harness at Walmart or Best Buy

Goto bestbuy at the back of the building where they install audio systems for cars an ask for a wiring harness for your car an a mounting bracket!

hope this helps

you have to get the correct wiring harness for your vehicle to plug into the already existing vehicle harness. you then take the wires from the back of the new cd player and splice them to the new harness wires according to what pioneer says
