subs dont sound as good as they could?

i have two 12' kenwood subs hooked up to a 1000 watt kenwood kac 7204 amp. i have it in bridged mode.. it bumps but not to its full potential what can it be?

Ive always faound that going with a ported (box with breather holes) is the ways to go if you want to feel the full potential of ur speakers but try investing in some MTX subs and you will be very satisfied.

you didn't mention the style or size of box you are using. the box makes a huge difference in sound quality. if it is not the right size (air space) it would deaden the sound.
