Hey I'm an 18 year old who is still excited about the purchase of his very own car and drives a lot but i NEED a way of playing my own music on the stock car stereo. I know about FM transmitters but they absolutely suck. I heard about a device you plug into the back of the stock stereo system and it has an aux coming off it to play your own music but these are ridiculously priced like $150 for a simple single function tool.

So basically can anyone help me find a way to plug in my mp3 via aux to my stereo without spending a fortune and that's compatible with my car ? I'm not interested in single dins as the stock system is pretty attractive but I would consider a double din for a decent price including installation. Help is appreciated !

If it didn't come from the factory with one, there's no possible way to force into it now. Get a new stereo.

There is a great product on the market sold by GTA CAR KITS. They sell ipod integration kits.

The kit connects directly to the back of your stock radio, and will provide you with a 30 pin Apple connection, as well as a 3.5mm aux connection.

The kit will provide cd quality audio coming out of your radio from your device because it is connected directly to your radio, and not using an FM signal at all.

If you have an Apple device, connecting to the Apple cable will charge the device, and also allow you to control the music from your car radio.

Installation takes most people about 40mins to an hour. They even have instructional videos on how to install it into your car yourself. It took me about 25mins in my car, and I cant live without it now. I love having it.

The kit your looking for runs for $99. The link for the kit you need is:

Dude. Get rid of the factory unit. Go to a website like sonicelectronix.com, and buy a decent Kenwood or Pioneer for around $100. It will come with the antenna adapter, wiring harness, and dash pieces to fit your car, and all new head units com with aux. ports and usb's. Plus, they usually ship for free. I've bought probably five or six from them over the years, and have always been happy. If you've never installed one, just look it up on Crutchfield Audio for a how-to. Good luck.

you can add an auxiliary input jack to most factory radios from 1995 and up

In the Mazda vehicles 2001 and up

this is the aux interface for Mazda factory radios
