Okay. I have a 2001 Volkswagen Jetta. In the trunk, there is the hook-up for a CD changer. I want to play my iPod in my car, because I only have a tape player. I've been using one of those tape player/iPod adapter things, but it broke. So I started thinking about this. Is there a way I could use the hook-up for the CD changer in the back-- string a wire to the front of the front of the car-- and play an iPod that way? I'm not looking for convenience or attractiveness, I really just want to listen to music. Thanks in advance!

Yes that is possible you can use the Volkswagen CD changer input and replace it with an auxiliary audio input interface, there is no need to do this in the trunk , the extra wire will give you bad noise

the best way is to pull the VW Jetta radio and unplug the CD changer cable it is the top right cable blue or black the audio quality will be great because you are not degrading the signal using the tape player also you need to purchase the VW auxiliary input adapter, there is no way to do this without the interface, because the radio turns off the port if the adapter or cd changer are not present

this is all you need

Is the mag contained in the trunk of the motorized vehicle? i'm no longer primary with Volkswagen's, yet no matter if it truly is contained in the trunk, there should be a cable that runs to the accurate unit. verify to be certain no matter if it truly is plugged in, and also no matter if it truly is contained in the most suitable enter jack.
