A guy at my local car audio place said if it put 15 inch woofers in a small trunk that it wont sound good at all because it won't have enough air space to hit. I see plenty of guys on honda forums with 2 15s in their civics and accords. I'm thinking of buying a small car for good fuel economy. and i would really want to put 15s in the trunk but i have no know how on building box for proper tuning of the woofers. how would i go about this and how will you think it will sound in a small trunk because i obviously want it to be loud and boomy

First find out how much cubic feet each 15 needs to hit hard. Then make your own custom box if it fits. Subs in cars hit extra hard then in trucks or suvs.. so 2 12's would hit hard.. trust me.

Depends on what kind of truck you didn't specify 15s do require alot of air space and because the have them in there car on that forum doesn't mean that the box is built to spec I have a 04 maxima and if I wanted to put 15s int the trunk I'm all most pos I would have no trunk space cause the box would be so big and I know my trunk is bigger than a accord or civic but it's really up to you I hope the truck want to put them inis at least a king cab also you do know they make shallow mount subs for trucks with littl to kno space

I even have 2 18" kicker solox in my yukon. it replaced right into a demo vehicle. now its my on a regular basis motive force. each and each of my subs are requiring 4 cubic feet of airspace. taking over the the lower back of my truck. powered via zapco. if your finding to establish like this your going to be out a hell of alot better than you imagined earlier you drop a sub into your truck. your going to be out better than you ever concept on making waiting your vehicle for a loopy volume of vibration. and being waiting to offer your amp's the 14.4 volts that they require. I also have a 4 batteries. 2 alretnators. no ac yet after its all dont you wont be apologetic appropriate to the expression on the face of the old couple infront of you at a purple easy on a sunday afternoon
