?

Hey guys i'm new to this car stuff.. I just got my first car.

I want to put in new speakers and a sub and probably a new deck. My friends aren't to good at this either so I figured instead of wasting money come on here and get some more info and then go into a store a little more prepared.

I own a Ford Taurus from 2002 it is the SES. I don't know what i need for room or anything i'm pretty much new to this stuff. My friend got his stuff for around $240 and his speakers and stuff sound good but i'm new and he is too.

He has:
Kicker Sub (I don't know what type just its a 12")
Rockford Amp (I don't know what type either or anything)
Pioneer DXT-2369UB Complete Car Stereo & Speaker Bundle ( http://www.walmart.com/ip/Pioneer-DXT-2369UB-Complete-Car/17242512 )
Then he has cords from walmart.

Now I was looking at getting the Pioneer bunlde thing too as that isn't expensive, but i'm not sure what will fit in my car or anything. Will I need to buy and assemble a thing to hold all of this too or what?

Or if you guys know what will fit in my car and is not to expensive? Any help is welcome! Thank you guys (:
Any help or info will be appreciated!

I have good news, and bad news. First, your tuner(radio part) is in your trunk. Your dash kits will, also run you about $80.. Instead of Walmart, I would use Crutchfield, for a few reasons: Life Time Customer help, free kits & harnesses&shipping ( you might have to pay a little) Their database is huge, and very vehicle specific. If you are willing to be patient, you can install a stereo system easily. We can help on here, and there are lot's of other online resources. Personally, I recommend Alpine radios, as they are pure sound quality and ease of use, without any extra stuff you pay for on other decks, like screen savers, and 30,000 color changing lights.. As the speakers, amps, subs etc go, piece it together, one at a time, then install it all at once, so you pull your car apart once, and put it together once. Once your car is wired, then you can swap equipment as you like..

Feel free to keep asking questions..

Good Luck!

your kit for that car is kinda expensive:

your actual radio circuitry is in the trunk and the factory dash piece is more a control face for the trunk module... that is why the long wire harness and antenna wire in the picture.. not the easiest install... but could be done by someone with mechanical skill... if you arent sure you have lots of that... maybe pay someone...

as far as amps and subs... gotta pick those yourself... get a mono class D amp though... not gonna be as cheap as your buddy..

some radios have a characteristic the place if skill is decrease off from the unit it wont turn back on without the code. This became into to steer away from it from getting used if stollen. touch the producer for the unique code and desire the unit wasn't stollen.
