It can be added to any vehicle later on. You can even buy an aftermarket radio that is ready for it.

I'd recommend a 1938 Ford, like this one: http://s.hswstatic.com/gif/1937-1938-ford-12.jpg

Biggest difficulty is that you would have to add a source of 12-volt power, because back then 6 volts was usual.

For more recent cars, like maybe a 1957 Chevy, that would not be a problem. You can get a new 1957 Chevy from Woody's Hot Rodz, http://www.woodyshotrodz.com/

Satellite radios can be installed in any car that has a 12 volt electrical system. You can get a 2017 Corolla with that option if you want. If you like Fords, ask for that option.

Upgrade into any vehicle that you can afford is entirely possible for a few hundred dollars - don't forget the $100 or so per year (19.99/month) for a subscription, on top of your loan payment, if you don't buy it with cash, plus the insurance premiums. Your audio system isn't part of what is covered with insurance.

Any vehicle older than 2013 will have a radio that you'll have to replace in order to get service since the merger between XM and Sirius to create SiriusXM Radio. In 2013, they stopped supporting the older equipment and only setup account on new combined service radios labeled (((SiriusXM))).

Only if you had an account with them prior to the merger, will they support the older devices, which are now dropping popular channels, to help force those users to upgrade their equipment. Therefore, don't bother looking for a vehicle with a working Sirius or XM Radio. If you want the new service, you'll find a radio to upgrade your sound system, and set aside a few hundred bucks to upgrade your ride with quality tunes .... If you're really savvy, you'll learn how to do the work yourself and save yourself a bunch in the process.
