Since you are getting 15's, then you are going to need more than average power. You will need a 1200-1500 watt amp at least, you will need at least 4 gauge power/ground wire(the lower the gauge, the thicker the wire. I.e. 4 gauge is fat, 0 gauge is really really fat), you will also need speaker wire to connect the speakers to the terminals in the enclosure, also to connect the voice coils if you have dual voice coil speakers, and also to connect from the enclosure to the amp. You are going to need enough power wire to run from your battery all the way to your trunk which should be around 20 feet of power wire. Your ground wire will be 7feet at the most since don'tdont have to run that the length of the car. You will also need an ANL Fuse and ANL Fuse Holder preferably a 250A Fuse or higher. You really should put an aftermarket cd player in, as it makes installation a whole lot easier, not to mention it gives you a whole lot more control and better sound from your system (today's cd players usually come with an auxiliary input, so you could hook up any device that has a headphone jack to the cd player such as Ipod, PSP, Laptop, Dvd player, etc). You will need remote wire to go from the cd player to the amp, to tell it when to cut on and off. You will also need some RCA cables to go from the cd player to the input side of your amplifier. Sooner or later, your alternator may go bad because of the strain put on it from the system. I recommend getting a high output alternator, and a die hard optima yellow top battery. You may also want to purchase a capacitor to even out the voltage going to your system. If you plan on getting a second amp for component speakers, i suggest that you get a crossover, and also a distribution block. If you don't know what some of these things are, don't worry. Just write down their names, and ask any car audio professional for assistance regarding what you need. You can get power wire/ground wire, speaker wire, remote wire, RCA wires, and the ANL FUSE and ANL FUSE holder together, usually in a kit that cost between $35-$80, depending on the size of the power wire/ ground wire. Never, Ever, Ever, EVER, go above 4 gauge power wire, as 6, or 8 gauge or 10 gauge wire is too small to bring your amp all of the power that it wants. Those smaller wires will cause your amp to go into protect mode, and can get really really hot when too much power is pushed through them, which can and has resulted in fires in the vehicle. Just go with 4gauge or lower and there will be no worries. Please get a good quality amp, as well. Spend a little time looking on the web for info about various amps, or email me with your subwoofer specs, and the price range that you can afford, for an amp, and I will tell you what you may want to get. Be careful, because having a system gets addictive, so you kind of want to have the best system you can get for your money,(and who wouldn't)
