4, 8 inch midwoofers
2, 6.5 inch component speakers
2, 10 inch subwoofers
2, tweeters besides the ones that come with the compnent

OR
b
4, 8 inch midwoofers
2, 6.5 inch component speakers
2, 4 inch full range speakers
2 tweeters
1, 12 inch sub woofer

OR

OR
c
1, 12 inch sub woofer
2, 8 inch mid woofers
2, 6.5 inch components
1, 4 inch speaker

OR

I truely agree with what chris stated. Just add some bass with 2 subwoofers in a sealed box. Skip the mid woofers. Simply add some add on tweeters for more clarity and highs. Unless you want to be car audio crazy and spend over a ton of money on components, subwoofers, headunit, eq, wires, batteries and ho alternator and time.

Why don't you just go with 2 10", or 2 12" subs running off a class D mono amp. While using an aftermarket h/u for powering your 4 door speakers.

When you get into the kind of combos you're looking at it gets to be a pain to get everything wired/tuned correct. For what you want you're not only looking at a new H/U for the source, but atleast 2 separate amplifiers, possibly 3 to power your speakers. Combine that with a crossover, tons of wires, and an extra battery/higher amp alternator..... thats not only quite a chunk of change, but a pain to install by yourself and get perfect.

Your best best in a truck and mainly rock music would be 2 10"s (sealed) and your door speakers. If you want to add more treble you can always splice a set of tweeters in as they don't pull high wattage.

Just stick with the stock speaker locations and get yourself some nice components for them. Get some shallow mount subs like the Polk Audio MM1240's and put them under the rear seat. I enjoy our enthusiasm, though! Good luck with the system and e-mail me if you need help!

I completely agree with chris. Also, if you are asking a question like this, why answer one of my questions when you don't have any personal experience in the topic? I guess that is besides the point, but misinformation should be a crime.
