I been doing some crazy research ever day and I finally came up with this car system for my car that my mom gave me!!

I already installed my Alpine-CDE103BT head unit.
and im getting:
2 Alpine type X 12s
1 Alpine class D mono block amp 2000W RMS
2 Alpine type S 6x9 3 way component speakers for rear
2 Alpine type S 4x6 2 way component speakers for front
1/0 gauge wiring kit for subs and amp
SoundStream 4 farad capacitor!!

It all comes out to $$1637.59!!

I dont think my headunit will be able to support my speaker? any help and comments on the system!!!

That is going to sound amazing. You will like the sound from the Type X's. Very clean, and that amp will drive them perfectly. Type R's will be louder than Type X's but the X's will sound amazingly clean. I would put those subs in a ported box to get the most out of them. The speakers are nice too and will run off your deck power with now problem. It is always better to have an amp for your speakers but the Type S speakers are meant to replace factory speakers with no amp and will sound just fine without an amp compared to the Type R's as they are more efficient, so good choice on those if you don't use an amp. Definitely use the 1/0 gauge wire for the amp and put a 200 amp fuse on it. You don't need the capacitor. It will do nothing for your system. It will in fact draw more current from your charging system then you want as that amp is quite big and will draw enough current by itself. One thing that you might want to do is take that money that you would spend on a cap and buy a bit more 1/0 gauge wire and a battery terminal and do the BIG 3. That will be way more benificial than a cap. Here is some links to add to your research about caps and the BIG 3. Good luck! and nice system.

first off are you going for SPL or SQ?

If you are wanting SPL then the Type X isn't the best choice.

The Type R would be much better choice for SPL

the amp i see no problem with no matter what subs you get be it the Type X or Type R

the speakers aren't a bad choice. (but are better ones)

Wire kit maybe a little overkill but i see no problem with that.

the capacitor...well they are a waste of money most of the time as they do little to no good. You would be better off doing the "big 3" upgrade(if you don't know what it is then look it up,if you or someone you know(that will help/do it) doesn't know what they are doing under the hood don't attempt take it to someplace and have it done for you)

Also what kind of enclosure you plan to use for the subs?

another thing with that kind of RMS your going to want to upgrade your charging system(i would recommend the "big 3" first and then alt. and batt. if it still isn't up to the job)

just as a note i haven't been keeping up with car audio much in the last 2 years so i maybe alittle rusty. one more thing my knowledge on the Alpine line up isn't that vast because i am more of a Rockford guy.

My advise to you is to get what you really want if your starting from the ground up right now since its winter in most places this is the best time to do your homework and start piecing up the perfect sound if you do this wright you can get a great system for way less then that amount:

Right now the MB Quartz are the best speakers in the world their studio speakers,

I know their 6x9's come in components which is incredible to give you prologic sound tweeters separate and bass woofer to your car without adding a sub!

Just don't go into stores asking for them, they will charge you about 500-800 a pair order them online for about 150 a pair... Be careful their are "Fakes" out their real MB Quartz are made in Germany!

This is were i bought mine from: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/m41-mb-quart-car-audio.html and if you don't believe me check out their frequency response compared to all the other speakers you will be really shocked!

Their certified by BBB i bought my whole system from them and people ask me all the time what the heck do you have in your car they think i have house speakers in my car and all you need is a 4 channel amp to run the front and backs

you get top of the line subs....and base model speakers...

get yourself a set of type r components or spx-ref series speakers for the fronts. a 5 and 1/2 inch speaker should fit up front, and you can get 6x9 type r's for the back. Make sure that you amp these speakers, theres gonna be a lot of bass. Just so you know, your not gonna get very much boomy ground shaking bass out of the type x subs. If you want stupidly loud, hip hop bass, get yourself two type r subs and put them in a ported box. It will be ridiculously loud. The type x subs are primarily a sound quality sub and are gonna give you very tight, responsive bass. You also could probably skip on the capacitor, its a bit excessive imo.

Well, I'm from Newark, NJ where stolen car audio equipment is plentiful and cheap and most people who live in the ghetto don't have enough money to buy a good car. Even poor people enjoy music
