i have three or four options to buy subs and i dont want to screw up because ive already done that once,
im trying to save money and any recomendations would help

1. one mtx ts55 12 in the mtx box with a rockford 500 watt amp and installation included, $790. thats a bit steep for me being only 16

2. two twelve inch polk db 1222's with a 500 watt amp(not sure which) with installation , $ 500

3. one 15 inch kicker comp with a 500 watt amp and possibly a head unit with installation, $ 500

4. one 12 inch alpine type r with a 1000 watt rockford amp for 300 from a friend who used them for a week but his dad made him get rid of it because he bought it without asking knowing his dad hates subs. so that would be around $450 with wires and installation

i really like the polks, love the mtx but thats a little expensive, the kickers loud but im not sure about reliability, and the alpine i know is a steal, especially the amp, but i dont know if one 12 is gonna cut it

please give me any recomendations or other ideas you have for me thanks!

Most people will say kicker, but kicker IS good if you want a lot of bass but kickers are NOT clear and are just loud and disorted. the cleanest clearest best one you listed is the alpine typr r. I LOVE alpine and that amp would rock your car amazingly and clearly. The MTX us a good system but its nto worth that much, the polk is good but not as good as the alpine. that one alpine with 1000watts is probaly louder deeper and clearer then both the polks together. so to sum it up the MTX isnt worth it. the polk's arent the best deal but are decent. the kickers are the loudest but are distorted and not clear. the alpine is the clearest and deepest and hits pretty hard too and youll never find a deal that good for that cheap again.

okay... well, you should try to do self installation. its not difficult, and saves a lot of money. personally, i have two mtx RT12-04's in a sealed box. those are just dual 12" road thunders. i have a cheap, old 220W rms amp for now (im saving up for a 4000W class-d) and it will shake the vizors in my sentra... so... i am telling you, that mtx combo may be expensive, but will last as long as you do. i am almost 17 myself, but love this stuff..... so... bro, age doesnt matter lol. this is the age u are suppose to go crazy on this stuff. u wont when ur older.
