factory head unit controlling amp/subs?

Question

So the car is a 2007 Honda Accord. For Christmas, I recently got this package...

I had it professionally installed and im pretty sure its wired at 4 ohms. The head unit is factory but the subs sounds gooood! there just not hitting as hard as i think they should? on the head unit, for the bass- it goes all the way from -6 to +6. After the install, the pro set the head unit to -1 and I messed around with the bass setting from the head unit and when i turn it up to +2, the subs seem to be hitting harder.
is it possible that adjusting the factory head unit pushes the subs harder??

He/She's a pro. His/Her settings are to get you out of the shop and not blow your speakers with the settings he/she made.



He/She makes a record of the settings he adjusted your equipment to. If your equipment gets damaged and any of those settings are changed, he/she is no longer liable.

provide manufacturers and products or it particularly is a guessing game. And max or top capability would not subject remember. do not submit it. yet very nearly besides the undeniable fact that u had 2 subs get each and every 4 hundred watts and in addition they'd been 4 hundred rms then if u extra a different sub for an entire of three they might each and every get approximately 260 if thats how the amp worked and in addition they may be underpowered besides the undeniable fact that louder than purely the two.

yes, it will make them "push harder".



...One thing to note however is with your set up two single voice coil subwoofers can only be hooked in parallel for a 2 ohm load or they can be hooked up in series which would give an 8 ohm load.



Assuming yours are hooked up in parallel, which they probably are, your amp is supplying them with just 500 watts rms. So sadly they are 300 watts underpowered.



Amp wise, Kenwood's KAC-9105D would have been a better option and still can be if you ever wish to upgrade amps.

OK look your head unit is sending a signal to your amp. the amp then bumps the head units signal up a **** ton. than in tun then makes your subs go wwwaaaaaaabbbbb thump thump. so hopfuly you get it so far. anyway when you turn it up to like

+2 or how ever far you want its just sending a more powerful signal to the amp so its making the amp more efficant IE louder. but don't got too high or your head unit will clip signal/distort and make sub sound like ****. so if you want it louder i would sugjest turning the gain up on your amp man like same thing applies don't go too high or it will clip signal and sound bad and its not good for subs
