My husband and I just purchased a used Subaru wagon with an after market Radio/ CD player. Its an Alpine COA-7893. This is the first stereo we've ever had like this, and we don't have a user manual for it, though we've been able to find one online. For the first few days it was great. We were able to figure it out enough to listen to the radio, CD's, etc. A few days ago my husband was driving along, went to turn up the volume on the stereo and all the music just stopped. The radio and CD player are still playing - we can see it on the display. Everything seems to function normally, except there's no sound. Its like its on mute. (And yes, we have tried the mute button.) We've tried all the settings, even the reset button. We checked the fuses and they look good too. Any thoughts? Thank you!

ok... i'm at a loss for words real right here. you're employing a 300watt MONO amp on your highs? one undertaking... it fairly is purely incorrect! Stereo sound grew to grow to be into invented indoors the path of very final century for a reason, dude! commerce one in each and every of your friends for a small 2 or 4 channel, please! you would be able to desire to desire to a minimum of run one extra effective 4ga rca on your Autotek (candy amp too). A 120amp fuse in an 8ga twine doesnt do some thing. The twine has approximately fairly lots as stable of a raffle of catching on hearth in the previous the fuse blows. Max for an 8ga would desire to desire to be approximately 60amps. Use that 120a on your 4ga, located aprox 40a fuse on your 8ga to a distinctive highs amp. next, take some extra effective of that 4ga, and strengthen your charging twine from the rear of the alternator directly to the effective terminal on the battery. additionally get some black 4ga and strengthen the engine floor from someplace on the engine (ideally on the edge of the alternator) to the chassis of the motor vehicle. strengthen the battery floor to chassis twine as nicely. in case you in spite of if have draw subject concerns get a small purple-remarkable stinger battery, and set up it in-line (4ga or extra effective appropriate) on the edge of the amplifiers indoors the back. verify you install 2 extra effective fuses off of the battery indoors the trunk to maintain far off from hearth hazzard. One on the effective lead in the path of the front battery, and one on the effective lead in the path of the amplifier. If that doesn't do it, then hassle approximately your alternator. floor the battery indoors the rear with a minimum of a 4ga (and as short as possible). I fairly have had destructive success with aftermarket alternators. This therapy works almost every time - with plenty extra effective structures than that even. you have a staggering start up even with the shown fact that. stable success!
