Get a boyfriend. Get him to do it while you go do your makeup or something.

hi, some of the answers above are useful but read on.... i suspect it is an after market addition so may not have been fitted correctly. i guess it is a jvc or sony bought from halfords. if you have played with all the knobs and buttons it will need to be removed ( slid out) from it's housing. this can only be done with the correct little release levers you might find in the glove box.

going back one step - make sure you have already pressed the 'source' button to change modes. you will probably have something like - cd, mw, fm 1, fm 2, fm 3, aux. what you need for the radio is 'fm' 1, 2 or 3 ( that just means that you can store 3 sets of 6 favourite channels). fm is the wavelength that you need to tune in. press up or down tuning buttons until you get a station. (if you hold either of these buttons in until the frequency numbers start moving it will automatically stop at the next strong signal.

ok moving onward. now you have the radio out - check at the back and make sure you have an ariel cable inserted ( this is the thick black single lead). if it is inserted then check the actual ariel is extended from the bodywork.

if this isn't the problem you will need to find help. i suggest halfords as they can send a technician out the shop for only a small sum of £. good luck. get back to me here if you need more help. i can talk you directly if you prefer.

p.s. most boys would be keen to help yu but don't let them start dismantling your dashboard lol

Has the aerial been removed from the roof?

It could be that the aerial lead has came out the back of the stereo.

When you press one of the "seek" buttons to find a radio station does anything come up at all?

Good luck! x

push the FM button (if there is one) and then twist the tuner nob (if neither knobs work then push the buttons with the arrows like the ones you press when skipping through songs on a cd)

Sounds like you may have an aerial fault
