Doesn't work that way. The code is for the radio and comes with the radio. So if the old radio locked up, who cares, since you are putting in a new one anyway. And even if you want to unlock the old radio, each radio gets a different code. It is often input by the dealer, based on the radio serial number, so three are sites that can help you guess. You have to have the serial number handy. It does not matter the make, model, or year of the car.

Amazingly Ford thought to make them all different codes so it is between 0000 and 9999 - after 10 wrong tries it electronically locks up forever. Best see a Ford dealers Parts department

You need to post the serial no on here, begins with an M and six numbers, if the number begins with a V, then thats ford agents only

we need your radio's serial number:

Try pressing 6+2 together, the number you need will be either M or V followed by six numbers, such as M123456 or V987654.

If the above method doesn't bring up a V or M number, you'll have to take the radio out to find the serial number.

It the serial number begins with M, post it here and we can give you the code - if it begins with V, only a Ford dealer can help.

If the code starts with M, you can find the code with the calculator:

Once you have the code, you can watch the video to learn how to enter it:
