Is there any way I can install an auxiliary input/Ipod adapter into my 2008 Mazda6 for around $50?

I have a 2008 Mazda 6i Sport and I'd like to install some sort of adapter or transmitter into it instead of having to use an FM transmitter which constantly and irregularly interrupts my media with interference. I know it's possible because my audio board even has a "media" button which I assume to be for that purpose. My brother and I disassembled the audio board and found an available audio input slot. After doing a little bit of research, my only guaranteed solution is buying the "Isimple", an apple product which is significantly overpriced for the purpose it serves. Also, many distributors like Best Buy, install it for you (which I don't need) to add on to the bill. Does anyone have a more affordable solution or an idea of where I can start?

I'm sorry this is a little above your price range you are asking for, but honestly it is the only way to do it correctly without replacing the radio for an aftermarket one with usb ports to support ipod functions. the problem with ipod integration right now is that its expensive because people want it, but honestly the best way to go about having an ipod in your car is to just replace the radio with something mid priced since it will give you ipod integration plus have the capability to play mp3 cd's and what not. http://www.pac-audio.com/productDetails.aspx?ProductId=1046&CategoryID=36
